|We are excited to invite you to a workshop for a new grant opportunity: The 19th Amendment Centennial Letter of Inquiry, in support of the 100th anniversary of securing women’s right to vote. This is a joint initiative between local funders seeking to partner with organizations to create a yearlong series of commemorative events. Please join us on June 14, 2019 from 2:00 – 3:30pm at Communities Foundation of Texas to learn more about how we plan to support the recognition of this milestone.
During the workshop, we will provide more information about this special opportunity as well as answer any questions you may have about the funding criteria. Please note, the application process will be similar to our current 2019 Letter of Inquiry. Additional background and instructions for submission can also be found within the application itself.
Please click here to register for the workshop. As a reminder, attendance is optional. For those who are unable to attend, the workshop will be recorded and available via livestream on FacebookLive or can be viewed later.

Think of ways your organization might:
- Celebrate: Remember, honor and applaud those who have moved women from suffrage to seats at many tables and continue to work to improve the position of women in society.
- Educate: Tell the story behind the creation and significance of the 19th amendment, including who was involved, what sacrifices were made for it to happen and the women of color who were marginalized to advance the movement.
- Activate: Make the call for people to participate in democracy and provide data, information and solutions for ways to increase Texas’ ranking as 49th among the states when it comes to women’s political participation.
